Since it’s a hidden folder, if someone doesn’t know it exists, they may never bother to look for it. If you hide it deep in the operating system directories, they will probably never find it. This is because people are usually lazy and don’t want to look for things that are hard to find.

If you want to hide a folder on your computer, create it in a location that is typically not used by the user. For example, create a new folder under C:\Program Files\Common Files and place the hidden folder there. This will make it difficult for someone to find and remove the hidden folder.

To make a folder hidden in Windows, open Windows Explorer and go to the folder where you want to make the folder hidden. Right-click on the folder and select Properties from the menu that pops up. In the Properties window that opens, click on the Hidden tab. In the Hidden Items field, type a password for the folder.   1. Open Windows Explorer and go back into your hidden folders’ directory;
  2. Right-click on one of these folders and select Permissions from its menu;
  3. On either of these windows which will now open - Permissions Window or File System Viewer - check mark Allow Others To Access This Folder And Its Children check box;
